Microneedling done in skincare clinics can be painful as they tend to use longer needles (1.5mm and up) that puncture into the deeper layers of the skin where you may experience bleeding.
However, fear not! Our derma rollers have 540 titanium needles that are 0.5mm in length, which is not long enough to cause bleeding but enough to make a big difference.
The biggest advantage of our home care MTS kit is that YOU are the one in control of the derma roller. You can choose to roll it gently or with a little bit of force. You can also control the speed, frequency, and the duration of the treatment.
Our customers describe it as a tingling or prickly sensation that is bearable and almost addictive. After your first experience with derma roller and seeing the visible changes, you will find yourself wanting to roll the derma roller longer and with a bit more pressure!
We highly do not recommend reusing derma rollers. Our derma rollers are disposable and strictly for single-use only. This is mainly due to hygiene reasons.
While it may be tempting to reuse the derma rollers, it is difficult to thoroughly sanitize the derma rollers at home. Reusing derma rollers that haven't been properly sanitized and cleaned may result in further skin complications such as more breakouts due to the acne bacterial remains on derma roller.
We want you to improve your skin, not do more damage so remember: For every one PDRN ampoule, use a new derma roller!
PDRN stands for Polydeoxyribonucleotide and this is an extract from salmon DNA, which is known to have excellent biocompatibility with human skin without immune response.

- Flexibility and Control
The duration, time, and pressure applied when using derma rollers is completely up to you, amount of ampoule you use at one go or over the next couple of days, and the frequency of treatment (twice a week, once a week, once every two weeks etc.) is completely up to you!
The results vary depending on skin condition however, you can expect to feel and see improvements between 3 ~5 days after your first MTS treatment.
Some of the visible and noticeable improvements you can expect within the 3~5 day window is/are:
- skin texture
- firmness
- pores (reduced visibility)
- reduction in whiteheads
- reduction in acne
- skin hydration levels
It will definitely help to take a before and after photo to really see the difference. We are extremely excited to see you witness the changes.
We recommend using the derma roller once a week and up to twice a week maximum, and at the very least once every two weeks to see results.
While microneedling is minimally invasive, you do want to allow time for your skin to heal before microneedling again. Otherwise, your skin may become irritated and sensitive if you over-do it!
A little tip is to use half of the PDRN ampoule immediately after derma rolling your face, and then use the leftover ampoule the next day (morning and night) after washing your face, before your usual skincare routine.
- PDRN Ampoule
Apply a generous amount of the Premium PDRN Ampoule after microneedling. Continue using leftover ampoule over the next 1~2 days.
- Face Mask
We cannot stress enough the importance of following up with a hydrating face mask (sheet/hydrogel/collagen mask) to cool down and hydrate the skin. The key is to keep your skin hydrated and this will drastically reduce the redness, tightness, and tingling sensation from the use of derma roller.
- Skin care
It is extremely important to avoid using products that include retinol and vitamin C until the tingling sensation subsides (normally 2-3 days after MTS). It is also very important to stay away from exfoliants (chemical e.g. AHA/BHA/PHA and physical e.g. enzyme or scrubs) as these will irritate and cause skin to become sensitive. Always apply sunscreen during the day to protect your skin from UV rays.
While we understand the idea of needles puncturing your face can sound daunting, it is actually not that bad!
We understand that a Kit with four ampoules may be a bit too much for a first-timer so we suggest purchasing one Kit and extra derma rollers and splitting it between 2~4 people (friends and/or family members) to see if you can handle it or not.
That way, you can reduce the burden of paying for something that could potentially go to waste, and also share the experience with the people close to you!
